About the event

NEW in-person weekly Qiong class at Rossis Leisure Centre.

Explore Shibashi Qigong, also known as Tai chi for health, in a supportive and gentle class. Qigong is a form of moving meditation that originated in China thousands of years ago and has a wide range of health benefits.

Booking is required for the block of 6 classes at £66. Please note that if the class is full you will be added to a waiting list and invited to join asap, as well as informed about other Qigong opportunities. For this reason it is best to inquire via email before making the payment- info@soulspaceunlimited.com.

These classes are perfect for complete beginners or those will some experience, and can be done seated or standing. Moves can be adapted for injuries or disabilities and you will be encouraged to listen to your body and not push too hard.

We will begin with Chen Tai chi stretches to warm the body up and release any tension. This will support the Qi energy to flow as much as possible during the practice. Next you will be guided through Shibashi Qigong set one, a set of eighteen simple moves that have been designed to bring ultimate balance to the system (mind and body). Shibashi is a particularly accessible and gentle form of Tai chi for health that has minimal pressure on the body, whilst cultivating optimum energy flow and relaxation.

Over the six classes you will be guided to connect more with movement and breath, and grow in confidence through repetition. There is opportunity to explore certain moves in depth and learn tools to support your well-being outside of class.

Please come in comfortable clothing that is not tight or restrictive and wear flat secure footwear. Also bring a bottle of water with you.
